Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat sits on the western shore of Pulau Dayan, a small island at the western end of Batanta’s north coast.
Six private bungalows are available. All rooms sleep two on raised beds. Sheets, pillows, bolsters and mosquito nets are supplied. Electric fans and storage racks are fitted.
Meals are served Dayan’s over-water dining room. As at all homestays, free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are provided there.
Guests share a bathroom building that has a western style toilets and bucket bathing.
Electricity is supplied by a generator which runs from sunset until midnight.
Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat receives a 4G phone signal, which usually supports a data connection.
Starlink Internet: Dayan offers free use of their Starlink Internet service to guests.
You’ll need to bring all the consumeables you consider essential for your stay, as Dayan is very remote. The nearest village (Yennyar/Marandan Weser) is about a twenty minute boat ride away, but only very basic supplies of the kind used by local people are available there.
Raja Ampat suffers from a total lack of safe waste disposal and recycling services. All homestays request that their guests please take their inorganic waste away with them when they leave, so as to not contribute to the growing trash problem in the islands. This is especially important at a small, isolated island like Dayan.
English is spoken at Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat.
